I am really enjoying shooting with just the modeling light. I can really widen my aperture.

Even underneath three layers of bokeh, Jamie still pierces through. That’s how you want your models and your shots to looks like.

So I recently did Jamie’s portfolio update. I’ve previously posted her beauty shot and this is her one catalogue/fashion shot.

Usually a model should have head/beauty and fashion shots to start their portfolio rolling. For more advanced models, they’ll have some portraits and editorials. The el Jong package will have all (and maybe a few risque layouts) of aforementioned in one quick hour and a half shoot.

I recently shot recent The Bachelor contestant, Jamie. She has only shot a handful of times so we decided to Jong-tify her portfolio starting with a beauty shot. Yes, I made up a word with my name. I’m a tool.

I’ve been scouring through my archives, tinkering with post-processing techniques, and I saw one of the stronger head shots I’ve done of model, actress and host Ariana Barouk (@ArianaBarouk) made-up by Kate Cruz-Hernandez (@iamkatehernandez). So here it is.

This is why I go out from time to time, you get to bump into some obscure celebrity only a film and TV nut like me will recognize. The photo featured is me with Malin Akerman of the movies Watchmen and Heartbreak Kid. She’s gorgeous! Wil and I bumped into her at our local St. Mark’s bar after Finance class.
